"Good Morning Cedar Valley" events help our busy members stay in the know about community and business issues. These events feature Cedar Valley community Mayors and a County Board of Supervisors representative. Breakfast is served. There is no cost to attend. RSVP is required.

"Knowledge at Noon" is a one-hour seminar held over lunch and designed to address topics that are of interest to local business professionals. RSVP is required.
This chamber event is open to all chamber members and their employees, as well as to non-members.

Speaker: Dr. Thomas M. Davis
Professor and Chair of the Division of Health Promotion and Education at the University of Northern Iowa
Dr. Davis will discuss a variety of models for implementing health promotion programs at the worksite, the potential benefits of such programs, and describe a sampling of successful worksite health promotion initiatives. A summary of local worksite health promotion initiatives federally funded in 2005-2007 will be provided.
The event will also include a presentation on the new Human Performance Center and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility.

Quarterly Networking Event

"Power Networking" is a structured event designed to maximize your number of contacts in 90 minutes. Each participant will have the chance to give a one-minute commercial about their business and trade business cards with 25 different people. Make sure to bring plenty of business cards. Snacks with cash bar will be available.
This chamber event is open to all chamber members and their employees. Limited to two representatives per member and fifty attendees. |

"Cedar Valley Leadership Institute" is a professional development series designed for business members who want to develop and strengthen their leadership skills within the community. Tuition fees and application process apply. Limited to 30 participants.

Annual Community Festival - June

"My Waterloo Days" is a community festival that focuses on family entertainment and attracts over 150,000 people throughout the four days. Includes many unique events like Dragon Boat Races, Sand Castle Contest, Paintable Mural, Christian Concert, Televised Parade, Fireworks, Music, Children’s Events, variety of food vendors and much more. The event takes place the weekend after Memorial Day. The event has been in existence since 1982.
